The Confederate Flag

The Confederate Flag Has Earned Its Place In American History.

A murderer, filled with racial hate, kills nine people. We subsequently learn he has posted selfies on Facebook in which he’s depicted with the Confederate (Rebel) Flag. Corporate America responds by banning this flag from its advertising and products. Politicians decry its evil attributes in desperation not to alienate Black voters.

The Confederate Colors has no symbolism for me other than historical. I was born in Southern California (SoCal) and have no political allegiance to the Stars and Bars. I grew up watching Dukes of Hazard, mostly to see Daisey in her short-shorts, and the General Lee perform its auto-cross stunts.

Unquestionably this flag is a vivid reminder of the bloody Civil War fought here in America. Do I believe it should fly over the South Carolina State House? No. Do I believe the Federal Government has any business dictating to the states what they should do as regards flying this flag? HELL NO! Do I believe the Federal Government should enforce the United States Code and prosecute people who deprive citizens of their Civil Rights? HELL YES! Now, having said all of this, do I believe the current cadre of Presidential candidates are using a terrible tragedy as a cheap publicity stunt? ABSOLUTELY!

One might suppose carried to its illogical conclusion, the Confederate Stars and Bars will be banned from the Gettysburg on-site Museum. Perfect. Children will learn histroy through the myopic eyes of our new-found censors — the liberal media who’s commentary is taken as gospel, taking precedence over recorded history.

Gettysburg

Unfortunately there is one flag that will continue to fly over America so long as Barack Obama, and his possible successor, Hillary Clinton (aka the Bitch of Benghazi), are in the White House — the liberal media’s battle-flag, the MSNBC Peacock!
